I have worked with children since 2001. I firstly worked in the children’s homes and loved every minute of it.
This inspired me to become a foster carer which I have done for many years.
I really wanted to make a difference for children so in 2006 I qualified as a social worker and spent many years in safeguarding moving up to a team manager. I then spent a few years in the looked after service.
Throughout the last 10 years I have been a Practice Educator and have loved teaching students and newly qualified workers how to be the best Social Worker for children, so when this role came up I was so excited and encouraged by many of my students and colleagues to apply.
I am so happy to be here and can’t wait to meet new students who are starting their exciting journey in Social Work.
